Even Some of My Tools are Refurbished

🔧 Even Some of My Tools are Refurbished

As a jewelry artisan, I believe in sustainability, resourcefulness, and making the most of what we have. That's why I'm proud to share that even some of the tools I use to create your handmade pieces are refurbished! ♻️

💚 Why Refurbished Tools Matter

In a world of constant consumption, choosing refurbished tools is a small but meaningful way to reduce waste and honor the craftsmanship of quality equipment. Here's why I love working with refurbished tools:

Take for example my anvil: The top piece a 5/8 inch steel plate was actually recycled from a Log Cabin Knife production. My husband cut it into the unique shape to serve my many smithing needs not available on markets.

The light rose enameled base is a piece from a garbage truck hydraulic packing ram and now fitted my needs for a anvil base.

These cuff bracelets were created after a voice in me pointed out how wasteful it would be if I were to cut the negative stamp out frames from my Hammer Sculpted Angel Wing Earrings into small pieces. So now I am reusing them on my new

  • 🌍 Environmental Impact: Giving tools a second life keeps them out of landfills and reduces the demand for new manufacturing
  • 💰 Value & Quality: Many vintage and refurbished tools were built to last generations—often with better craftsmanship than modern alternatives
  • ✨ Character & Story: Each refurbished tool carries its own history, adding soul to the creative process
  • 🎯 Smart Business: Investing in quality refurbished equipment allows me to put more resources into premium materials for your jewelry

🛠️ Tools with a Second Life

From hammers and mandrels to polishing equipment, some of my most trusted tools have been lovingly restored and continue to help me craft beautiful pieces in my Montana studio. They work just as well—if not better—than brand new tools, and they come with the added benefit of being eco-conscious choices.

🌿 Sustainability in Every Step

Using refurbished tools is just one part of my commitment to sustainable practices:

  • ♻️ Recycling metal scraps and repurposing materials whenever possible
  • 🏔️ Supporting local Montana suppliers and artisans
  • 📦 Using eco-friendly packaging for shipments
  • 💎 Sourcing ethically-made materials for all jewelry pieces
  • 🤲 Creating timeless, handcrafted pieces designed to last a lifetime

✨ The Beauty of Imperfection

Just like the natural patina that develops on copper jewelry, refurbished tools carry their own beautiful imperfections. They remind me that value isn't always found in what's brand new—sometimes the most precious things are those that have been loved, used, and given new purpose.

This jewelry bench block, which I use as an aid for drilling and sawing, was actually made from a sawmill guide block.
