What makes dichroic glass so captivating is its incredible interaction with light.

To me, these colorful patterns resemble distant galaxies, sparkling star clusters, and the mysterious beauty of outer space.

🔬 The Fascinating Science Behind the Sparkle
Dichroic glass isn't ordinary colored glass.
Its remarkable appearance comes from extremely thin layers of metal oxides and other materials applied to the glass surface.
These microscopic coatings interact with light through a process called thin-film interference. Certain wavelengths are reflected while others pass through, producing brilliant colors that can change depending on your viewing angle.
Unlike traditional pigments, much of the shifting color comes from the way light interacts with these layers.
It's science creating art—and the results are spectacular!

When I began creating this Unique Copper Galaxy Dichroic Glass Necklace, I wanted the colorful glass to be the star of this design.
I surrounded the shimmering glass cabochons with smooth copper, combining the warm, earthy beauty of copper with the mysterious sparkle of the cosmos.
This necklace is handmade, and a true one of a kind. I have other designs in mind, because I have more of these beautiful dichroic cabochons, which are just waiting to be put into a new original design.
Every glass centerpiece reveals its own fascinating galaxy of color, and every copper setting carries the character of handmade craftsmanship.
One of my designs will even has a special little message stamped on the back: LOVE.
