FYI: It's not a true moonstone without that bluish hue
What makes the moonstone blue hue glow? Adularescence (The meaning of ADULARESCENCE is the changeable white to pale bluish luster of an adularia cut cabochon) refers to the rippling blue light that appears when you revolve the moonstone near a source of light. This effect is due to the interwoven properties of a separate feldspar in varying positions inside the moonstone. As you know from My About Me Page I grew up in my Father's jewelry making business and therefore know a lot about moonstones, because it was my father's favorite semiprecious gemstone. I my self are also fascinated by the rarer Madagascar Chocolate Moonstone, which has a mauve like iridescent color underneath the surface.
